huawei ETS 2288 BSNL WLL net configuration

huawei ETS 2288 BSNL WLL (CDMA phone)internet configuration for ubuntu

If your are using huawei ETS-2288 BSNL WLL phone. Than you have to configure net setting via command lines.
> first you have to download & install below .deb files one by one,

32 bit
GDebi package installer (for ubuntu 11.04+)(see note 1)
1st .deb
2nd .deb
3rd .deb
4th .deb
5th .deb
6th .deb

64 bit
GDebi package installer (for ubuntu 11.04+)(see note 1)
1st .deb
2nd .deb
3rd .deb
4th .deb
5th .deb
6th .deb

note1- first download the GDebi installer from mediafire , after that change the .isi package's permission by rigtclicking>properties>permissions tab to "read&write" & tick the "allow executing file as programm"> OK. double click on file and install it. after this open all deb file with GDebi installer.

> every first if you are using 11.04 or higher you have to install deb file installer, because the software center will not install it.


>after installing all of 6 .deb files, open application>accessories>terminal.

> write a command

sudo gedit /etc/wvdial.conf

another gedit bar is opens then add thees words

(in user name and password write your phone no, with code , erase starting zero in code.
like if ur no 0809988777 then u have to write 809988777)

>your configuration is over

> command to connect internet is

sudo wvdial bsnl


then it shows ip address & DNS address, the net is connected now,
dont close the terminal !!!!!!!!!!,

> To disconnect open that connected terminal and press ctrl+C
